Cullerne Gardens

The Cullerne Gardens Project is a community-focused food-growing initiative led by Ekopia, designed to cultivate local resilience, wellbeing and sustainable land use.

Set within a seven-acre site, the project brings together regenerative agriculture, community participation and local food production. Our aim is to transform the land into a productive, inclusive space that supports both people and nature.

What we’re doing

The project is developing a mixed-use growing system that includes:

  • Market garden production supplying fresh, seasonal produce
  • A community-supported agriculture (CSA) scheme
  • Volunteer and learning opportunities
  • Regenerative land management practices

Community impact

Culluren Garden is about more than food. It is a platform for:

  • Strengthening local food systems
  • Supporting community wellbeing and connection
  • Creating opportunities for skills development and employment
  • Demonstrating climate-conscious land use

Through this work, we aim to contribute to a more resilient and self-sustaining local economy.

Our Gratitude

We are deeply grateful to Findhorn Foundation for the generous gifting of this land. This act of stewardship enables the continuation and evolution of a long-standing legacy of food growing, education, and community development on the site.

We are committed to honouring and building upon this legacy ensuring the land remains a place of learning, nourishment, and connection for current and future generations.

Looking ahead: As the project develops, we will expand production, deepen community involvement, and explore new ways to integrate food, learning, and enterprise on the site. We welcome collaboration with individuals, groups, and organisations who share our vision for a more sustainable and community-led future.
